Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham. You will receive, store and dispatch goods while maintaining a safe, orderly environment and ensuring high levels of accuracy in processing orders.

The role involves physical tasks, lifting up to 25kg, and standing/walking for extended periods. Training for forklift equipment is provided, and opportunities for career progression exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing/walking for long periods.
• Good communication and teamwork, with a focus on accuracy in order processing.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch in line with procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet trucks, forklifts).
• Conduct stock checks and cycle counts; maintain accurate inventory records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and compliant with safety rules.
• Assist with loading/unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Report discrepancies, damages or safety issues to management.
