Job summary

Sysco in Hemel Hempstead is hiring a Warehouse Operative for day shifts. The role offers £31,975 per annum (full time) with a focus on accuracy, team collaboration and safe handling of goods. Flexibility exists for 16 or 40 hours per week in a multi-temperature warehouse.

You’ll join a close-knit team, support order processing, and contribute to efficient picking, packing and loading while adhering to health and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Good eye for detail and accuracy.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Basic numeracy and simple calculation ability.
• Comfortable working in a cold environment.
• Experience in a multi-skilled warehouse is a plus.
• Ability to bend, stretch and lift up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Assist in picking and packing quality products for customers.
• Replenish stock and load goods onto lorries.
• Work with the admin team to process orders accurately and safely.
• Follow health and food safety procedures at all times.

Our Warehouse Operators are the heart of our business. Joining a close-knit team in our multi-temperature warehouse, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety as you get involved in everything from picking and packing quality products for customers, to replenishing stock and loading onto lorries. You’ll also be supported by our friendly admin team, so that every order is processed accurately, swiftly and in line with health and food safety procedures.

What you bring to the mix

As someone who genuinely cares about providing a great service for customers and colleagues, you have what it takes to make a difference here:

• a good eye for detail and accuracy
• like being part of a team
• basic language skills and the ability to perform simple calculations
• comfortable working in a cold environment
• ideally, experience in a multi-skilled warehouse – although this isn’t essential
• the ability to bend, stretch and lift up to 25kg.
