Job summary

Micheldever Tyres is looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to pick orders, load and unload vehicles, and put stock away. The role involves manual handling and occasional Van or Forklift Truck driving duties, based at Winnall, Winchester.

The company offers strong development routes and training in health and safety, with a shift pattern Monday to Friday, 6.30-15.00, and additional benefits and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment preferred.
• Health & Safety awareness and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and load/unload vehicles.
• Put stock away and conduct stock checks.
• Ensure accurate counts at stock audits and report discrepancies.
• Move goods efficiently within the warehouse per instructions.
• Load outbound vehicles safely and correctly.
• Occasionally cover delivery drivers.

Micheldever Tyres is looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative - to be responsible for picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles and putting stock away. The role involves manual handling, heavy lifting duties and occasional Van or Forklift Truck driving duties.

• Location: Winnall, Winchester
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday6.30-15.00
• Stock Take: 6 Saturdays per annum for stock take

About the role:

• Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and reported as required
• Ensure high levels of count accuracy at Stock Audits, effectively communicating stock discrepancies, shortages or problem areas
• Ensure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient and accurate according to instruction
• Ensure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe manner, according to instruction, Company Practice and current legislation
• Ensure all received stock is ‘put-away’ in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed, picked and loaded correct to customer order and DC requirements.
• Experience in driving / willingness to occasionally cover our delivery drivers

About you:

• We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
• You will have an understanding of workplace Health & Safety and work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar fast-paced, physically demanding environment, Fork lift licence, Counterbalance or Reach Truck, ideal but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
