Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative (days) in Reading to join our busy warehouse operations. You will work across ambient, chilled and frozen areas, picking customer orders and preparing them for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You’ll be part of a supportive team with full training provided for warehouse equipment and safety. This is a hands-on, active role in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for development within the business.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Warehouse or multi-temperature experience is helpful, but not essential
• A good level of physical fitness, as this is an active role involving regular movement and manual handling
• High level reach truck licence and other MHE

Responsibilities

• Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Loading vehicles ready for delivery.
• Organising and storing products safely and correctly.
• Using warehouse equipment safely, with full training provided.
• Moving stock using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and in some cases forklifts.
• Supporting colleagues to keep the warehouse running smoothly.
• Helping ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders

Play an important part in our journey

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll work across our ambient, chilled and frozen warehouse environments, helping to prepare customer orders for delivery.

Working as part of a supportive and hardworking team, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are in the right place at the right time, so our drivers can leave on schedule and our customers receive the service they expect.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same. If you like to stay busy and want to make a real difference behind the scenes, you'll fit right in.
