Job summary

William Jackson Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support the Warehouse Days team in replenishing produce while upholding strict food safety and health and safety standards.

You will focus on health & safety, hygiene, and food safety, ensuring SOP compliance and emergency procedures are followed. Strong organization and teamwork are essential as you manage stock, rotations and space to accommodate deliveries.

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to support the Warehouse Days team in replenishing produce on the department, adhering to our high food safety and health and safety standards.

What you will do:

Health and Safety/Food Safety

• Ensure that hygiene standards are at all times performed to BRC accreditation and to our own high GMP standards.
• Adhere to SOP and safety training.
• Have knowledge of company and statutory Health & Safety, security, and emergency procedures.

Stock Management

• 100% compliance to Stock management including rotation, date checking and location accuracy.
• Ensure that the department is set up ready for the night pick.
• Review products on the Missing List report with the aim to have zero products on the list.
• Organise the storage of excess products as efficiently as possible with a view to always create as much storage space as possible ready for any future deliveries.
• Ensure that all stored pallets have an accurate and clear air ticket attached.
• Ensure that the shelf is presented efficiently.

Full training and PPE will be provided.

This role is commutable from Nelson, Colne, Barnoldswick, Earby, Burnley and Accrington with good access to the M65.
