Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative (days) in Biggleswade to pick and pack orders, load vehicles, and keep stock correctly organized across ambient, chilled and frozen areas.

You will work in a fast-paced team, ensure orders are accurate, and help drivers leave on schedule. The role requires physical activity and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to pick customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Able to load vehicles safely and on time for delivery.
• Organise and store products safely and correctly.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely with training provided.
• Move stock with pump trucks and pallet trucks as needed.

Play an important part in our journey

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll work across our ambient, chilled and frozen warehouse environments, helping to prepare customer orders for delivery.

Working as part of a supportive and hardworking team, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are in the right place at the right time, so our drivers can leave on schedule and our customers receive the service they expect.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same. If you like to stay busy and want to make a real difference behind the scenes, you'll fit right in.

What you'll be doing

• Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Loading vehicles ready for delivery
• Organising and storing products safely and correctly
• Using warehouse equipment safely, with full training provided
• Moving stock using pump trucks, power pallet trucks and in some cases forklifts
• Supporting colleagues to keep the warehouse running smoothly
• Helping ensure drivers leave on schedule with complete and accurate orders

What we're looking for

• Good attention to detail
• A commitment to delivering excellent service
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Warehouse or multi-temperature experience is helpful, but not essential
• A good level of physical fitness, as this is an active role involving regular movement and manual handling
