Job summary

William Wilson, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Warehouse Operative in Ayr. You’ll handle picking, packing, receiving deliveries, and helping customers at the trade counter.

You’ll need a positive attitude, previous warehouse experience, and a full UK driving license. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 08:00. Competitive salary with bonus and an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, including the completion of necessary training.
• Full UK manual driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• General warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which involves manual handling of heavy items boilers, sinks, radiators, and toilets and ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch
• Assisting customers at the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area when the main driver is on holiday
