Job summary

AF Blakemore & Son Ltd in Tipton is seeking a warehouse operative to handle deliveries, stock storage, and order assembly in a fast-paced SPAR distribution environment. You will be part of the Logistics, Distribution & Warehouse team supporting daily operations and ensuring efficient service to stores and customers.

The role offers an attractive benefits package and includes an induction, with training sessions starting on 19th October.

Qualifications

• Numerate and literate.
• Experience in warehousing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receipt of deliveries in accordance with delivery schedules
• Safe storage of stock within the warehouse facility
• Accurate processing and assembly of customer orders
• Report stock shortages to all stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner
• Conducting stocktaking activity in accordance with planned schedules
• Safe, accurate loading and unloading of commercial vehicles in accordance with client service schedules
• Report vehicle defects to line manager
• Ensure forklift trucks are maintained and repaired to agreed service schedules
• Responsible for depot housekeeping and other warehousing functions

Induction will take place Monday 19th October and 2 weeks of training will take place Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm. A drug and alcohol test will take place on induction.
