Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is recruiting for a night shift warehouse operative to load and prepare deliveries in our SPAR distribution network. The role involves night hours, keeping accuracy in loading orders, and supporting depot operations.

40 hours per week on a night shift, with a benefits package and opportunities within a growing, UK-wide business. Permanent contract due to our commitment to reliable logistics and customer service.

Qualifications

• Numerate and literate.
• Reach/counterbalance FLT licence required.
• Full driving licence required.
• Warehousing and distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load customer orders onto company vehicles accurately.
• Ensure drivers’ run-sheets, documentation and keys are distributed on completion of loading.
• Prepare vehicles prior to loading.

£13.57 per standard hour (performance related)& £1.57 per hour nightshift allowance

Nightshift 22:00pm – 06:00am Sunday - Thursday

40 hours per week

Job purpose

The accurate and efficient assembly of customer orders, replenishment, ferrying and bulk storage control within the depot.

Key Accountabilities

• The accurate loading of customer orders onto company vehicles
• Ensuring that drivers’ run-sheets, documentation and vehicle keys are distributed correctly on completion of loading
• The preparation of vehicles prior to loading
