Job summary

JR Recruitment is hiring a Warehouse Operative in High Wycombe for a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The role is temporary to permanent with a salary of £29,400 per annum and hours from Monday to Friday, 1pm-10pm.

You will be part of a busy team, handling picking/packing, loading/unloading, goods-in checks, stock movement, dispatch prep and 5S practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and controlled manner
• Supporting goods-in and checking incoming deliveries
• Moving and putting away stock
• Preparing orders ready for dispatch
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation using 5S methodology
• Supporting perpetual and location-driven stock audits
• Working as part of the warehouse team to achieve daily and weekly targets
• Ensuring accuracy when handling and preparing customer orders
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required

Key Requirements of the Warehouse Operative:

• Previous warehouse, picking or packing experience is beneficial but not essential
• Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy boxes and tubes
• Comfortable navigating a large warehouse and locating stock
• Proactive and methodical approach to work
• Able to adapt to a changing environment while remaining calm
• Reliable, punctual and flexible
• Good organisational skills
• Great attention to detail and a good attitude
