Job summary

West Riding Recruitment is recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives in York, YO19 to join a busy warehouse team. You will be involved in order picking, stock management, goods handling and maintaining safety and cleanliness to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

Two shift patterns are available: Sunday-Thursday, Shift 1 15:00–23:00 and Shift 2 21:00–06:00, with Sunday at £15.00/hr and Monday-Thursday at £13.50/hr; overtime is paid at £15.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse/order picking experience.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.

Responsibilities

I'm delighted to be recruiting for my Client based in York, YO19 for experienced Warehouse Operatives join their expanding Team.

The Role

You will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, stock is managed correctly, and all products are handled safely and efficiently for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking: Select and prepare customer orders accurately and on time for delivery.
• Quality Control: Check products to ensure they meet required quality standards and reject any items that do not.
• Stock Management: Replenish pick fixtures safely and follow strict stock rotation procedures.
• Goods Handling: Assist with receiving, storing, loading and unloading stock as required.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and free from obstacles while following all health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily targets and maintain an efficient warehouse operation.

Shifts

I have 2 shift patterns available detailed below both working Sunday to Thursday

Shift 1 1500 - 2300

Shift 2 2100 - 0600

Payrate

Sunday is paid at £15.00 per hour

Monday to Thursday is paid at £13.50 per hour

Overtime is payable at £15.00 per hour through the week
