Job summary

West Riding Recruitment is recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives in York, YO19 to join a busy warehouse team. You will be involved in order picking, stock management, goods handling and maintaining safety and cleanliness to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

Two shift patterns are available: Sunday-Thursday, Shift 1 15:00–23:00 and Shift 2 21:00–06:00, with Sunday at £15.00/hr and Monday-Thursday at £13.50/hr; overtime is paid at £15.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse/order picking experience.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Order picking: Select and prepare customer orders accurately and on time for delivery.
• Quality control: Check products meet quality standards and reject items that do not.
• Stock management: Replenish pick fixtures safely and rotate stock.
• Goods handling: Assist with receiving, storing, loading and unloading stock.
• Safety & cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean and follow health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily targets.
