Job summary

IKO is seeking a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to support a busy site in the UK. You will promote policies, drive a can-do culture, input third-party orders, and assist with returns while keeping yard and warehouse standards high.

The role covers production duties when required, with flexibility to travel to other UK sites for training or visits. A positive communicator with knowledge of stock, logistics, and the asphalt plant will excel.

Qualifications

• Experience with transport/logistics within the business.
• Knowledge of the asphalt production plant is advantageous.
• FLT licence is preferred with training available.
• Fire Awareness Certificate and First-aid at Work desirable.
• Strong communication and professional interaction across levels.

Responsibilities

• Support Purchasing and Supply re customer returns.
• Remove production to stock.
• Yard/warehouse housekeeping.
• Cover production duties from time to time.
• Cover Bitumen Supervisor/Warehouse Team Leader with flexibility.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training or site visits.
• Build and maintain relationships with Warehouse Manager, Team Leader and dispatch.
• Liaise with Production Manager and Shift Managers; Dispatch/Purchasing.
• Undertake training and development activities to identify business needs and skills to develop.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote the company policies at all times.

• Promote the company values and encourage a collaborative culture between departments
• Inputting third party orders received
• Support Purchasing and Supply in respect of customer returns
• Remove production to stock
• Yard/warehouse housekeeping
• Cover production duties from time to time
• To cover Bitumen Supervisor/Warehouse Team Leader and adopt a flexible approach.
• Be prepared from time to time to travel and stay away from home for training purposes and/or visit to other UK sites.

Managing People

• Build and maintain a professional relationship with the Warehouse Manager, Team Leader and dispatch
• Liaise with all levels within the organisation affording the same level of service and courtesy to all colleagues

Managing Information

• Liaise with Production Manager and Shift Managers
• Liaise with Dispatch/purchasing

To undertake training and development activities including:

• Identifying and striving towards business needs
• Identifying skills to be developed

SKILLS / QUALIFICATION

• Have a positive can-do attitude and encourage the same in others.

• Product knowledge would be an advantage
