Job summary

Nexus People are recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join our client’s Newark distribution operation. The role involves picking and packing high value items, using voice-picking and scanners, and operating Manual Handling Equipment after full training. Regular shifts, overtime, and opportunities for permanent roles are available.

We offer immediate starts, weekly pay every Friday, a modern warehouse environment with facilities, and full training even for those new to warehousing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse is beneficial but not required.
• Training provided on all equipment and processes.
• Attention to safety and accuracy when handling high value items.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack high value items for customer orders.
• Use voice-picking headset and handheld scanner.
• Operate Manual Handling Equipment (LLOP) after training.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and keep area clean and safe.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative - picking high value items - using MHE - loading & unloading containers

Location: Newark

Pay Rate: £13.26 to £17.24 p/h

Working Hours:

Days - 06:15 - 18:15 (staggered start times every 15 minutes until 7am, 12h shifts) - 4 days on 4 days off

Nights - 18:15 - 06:15 (staggered start times every 15 minutes until 7pm, 12h shifts) - 4 nights on 4 nights off

PM 14:00 - 22:00 and 16:00 - 00:00 - Sunday to Thursday

Experience:Previous experience in a Warehouse environment would be preferred

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• Picking and packing high value items for customer orders
• Using a voice-picking headset and handheld scanner
• Operating Manual Handling Equipment (LLOP) following full training
• Manual handling - two person lift dependent on product
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
• Supporting the wider warehouse team with additional duties when required

No two days are the same, so we're looking for people who enjoy keeping busy and are happy to learn new skills.

About You

Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
