Job description

The candidate would be coming in to the warehouse team, as a warehouse operative reporting to the warehouse supervisor.

Responsibilities

Adhering to company procedures on the following:-

  1. Picking/packing of sales orders, completing required paperwork and updating systems
  2. Using the Business system software, on a daily basis
  3. Using our freight Company shipping portals
  4. Work with ICP or Customer freight companies to arrange carriage
  5. Physical movement of stock items in to new locations when instructed
  6. Inspection & booking in of goods received from Suppliers, use of measuring equipment required for this (training can be provided for the right candidate)
  7. Marking of brake pads on the laser engraving machine (Sometimes with customer specific part numbers and or logos)
  8. Helping with Company stock takes
  9. Contribute to a continuous improvement environment
  10. Other duties as required by the warehouse team

To be considered for this, role candidates must be...

  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
  • Computer literate
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling and manual work
  • Willing to learn new skills and play a part in a team environment to get orders booked in and out in a timely and professional manner
  • Fork lift license would be advantageous (but not essential)
  • Full in-house training would be provided on the Company practices/procedures. This includes the ICP Business software package (Odoo)

Key Details

This is a full-time role with a forward-thinking company.

  • Paid holidays and company pension scheme.
  • Working hrs Mon - Thurs 0800 – 16-00 and 09.00 – 17.00. Fri 08-00 – 15-00 or 09-00 – 16-00 fortnightly pattern with some overtime requirements required from time to time.
  • Pay negotiable depending on experience.
