Job summary

Kenect Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in the Cribbs Causeway area of Bristol. The role is a temp-to-perm position with a 12-hour shift pattern on a 4 on, 4 off rota, and weekend work included.

The pay rate is £12.92 per hour with overtime paid at time and a third. You will join a busy team handling high‑quality stock, performing inbound scans, order picking, loading, and final checks to ensure accurate deliveries to customers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety rules and operate manual handling equipment correctly.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Temp-to-Perm) Location: Cribbs Causeway, Bristol Pay Rate: £12.92 per hour (Overtime paid at time and a third) Shift Pattern: 07:00-19:00, 4 on 4 off rota (Will include weekend working)

We are looking for reliable and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join our client’s team based in the Cribbs Causeway area of Bristol. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long‑term stability and excellent earning potential with enhanced overtime rates.

You will be an integral part of a busy team managing high‑quality stock. This is an active role that involves moving and handling large items, where teamwork and attention to detail are key to keeping the warehouse running smoothly.

What a Day Looks Like

Morning: Inbound

• Receiving goods: Scanning incoming stock, which mainly consists of large, heavy items.
• Team lifting: Working as a two-person team to lift items safely onto trolleys.
• Stock management: Moving stock safely around the warehouse and placing items into their designated locations.
• Accuracy: Keeping scans accurate, aisles clear, and stock fully traceable.

Afternoon: Outbound

• Order picking: Locating the next day’s deliveries across the warehouse layout.
• Staging: Moving items to the loading area using trolleys.
• Loading: Working in pairs to lift heavy items off trolleys and load them securely onto lorries.
• Final checks: Scanning and securing loads to guarantee the right items reach the customers.

The stock items are heavy, bulky, and awkward to handle. While trolleys are provided to support you, this role requires consistent moving, lifting on and off equipment, and loading into vehicles throughout the 12‑hour shift. You will be on your feet for prolonged periods, meaning a strong practical capability, a commitment to safe manual handling, and a team‑first mindset are absolutely essential.
