Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a Warehouse Operative in Wednesbury (WS10 7NZ) for a temp-to-perm contract. The role covers operating machinery, assembling/packing, QA checks, and maintaining a clean workspace while adhering to health and safety rules.

Shifts rotate: 0530-1430 one week and 1400-2300 the next, Monday to Friday. Some handball and lifting 20–25 kg sheets are required. Forklift experience is preferred but not essential; permanent transition offers perks.

Qualifications

Job description

Are you looking for a temporary to permanent contract as a Warehouse Operative. Workchain is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Wednesbury WS10 7NZ. This is working on a rotating shift pattern shifts are as follows. 0530 - 1430 one week and then 1400 - 2300 the next. The work is Monday to Friday.

You will be trained to work, safely and efficiently to work with the cutting equipment to cut orders down to size and maximising profitability. General warehouse duties will be required as well in quieter periods and some assistance with loading/ unloading and stock take. Due to the nature of this role there is some handball and you will be required to move sheets of plastic which can weigh 20 - 25kgs.

Some Forklift Counterbalance and/or Forklift Reach experience is preferred but not essential. When you go permanent there is an increase on your pay and you become eligible various perks from the company.

This temporary position offers a competitive pay rate of £12.50- £12.50 per hour.
