Job summary

Kite Packaging Ltd in Waterlooville is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our Distribution Centre team. You will pick sales orders, use barcode scanners to log goods in and out, assist with dispatch and loading, and help keep the warehouse tidy and efficient.

Standard hours are 08:00–18:00, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary, 22 days’ holiday (rising to 25), life insurance, pension, cycle-to-work and healthcare options, plus the potential to become a shareholder after six months.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is essential.
• Experience owning Goods In/Out processes and visibility.
• Forklift experience (preferably Pivot Steer) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pick sales orders accurately to meet targets.
• Use barcode scanning handheld devices to record goods in, picking and movements.
• Assist with dispatch, goods in and loading tasks.
• Wrap, secure and label finished goods correctly.
• Load vehicles with finished products.
• Keep the warehouse safe and tidy and optimise space usage.

Kite Packaging have a brilliant opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join their Warehouse team at their Waterlooville site. You will be joining our Waterlooville Distribution Centre which consists of warehouse, customer services, purchasing and sales teams. Our distribution centres play a huge part in the business growth strategy through offering first class expertise to help its customer base reduce their total packaging costs.

The role of Warehouse Operative

Duties will specifically cover the following areas:

• Picking sales orders accurately ensuring targets are met
• Use of barcode scanning handheld devices to record goods in, picking and product movements
• Assisting with additional dispatch, goods in and loading tasks
• Wrap, secure and accurately label finished goods
• Loading vehicles with finished product
• Keep the warehouse safe and tidy to look for ways of optimising utilisation of space
• Ensure no errors are made in shipments

Key Skills and Operational Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Be able to demonstrate ownership and knowledge of Goods In/Out
• Previous experience in fast paced Warehouse environment is essential
• Forklift experience (preferably Pivot Steer)
