Job summary

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver on a permanent, Monday-Thursday schedule with 48 hours per week. The role involves supplying materials, loading/unloading, and maintaining safety while supporting production.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, FLT/PED/PPT experience is desirable, and good literacy and numeracy in English. Attractive benefits and onsite amenities are included.

Responsibilities

• Supply production with raw and packaging materials to maintain production.
• Move finished goods from production to warehouse storage until despatch.
• Unload incoming vehicles and rack away materials after GRN generation.
• Pick and assemble loads for dispatch; load outgoing vehicles.
• Work safely and follow health and safety policies; report concerns.
• Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose; complete starter docs and report damage.
• Assist training of colleagues; act as buddy to new starters.

The Opportunity:We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our Goods In team at our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position and is working Monday

• Thursday - days only.On Offer:Salary of £13.31 per hour (£33,221 per annum)Contracted hours of 48 hours per weekMonday to Thursday 06:00
• 16:00 and Friday 06:00
• 14:00Monthly paid - last Friday of each month.Please note there is not public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!The Role:To ensure processes are followed within the warehouse to ensure products are receipted in, stored and despatched to the agreed standards and loading plans whilst keeping our colleagues safe. Key Responsibilities:Supply the production departments with raw and packaging materials in order to maintain a continuous production programmeLocate all finished goods from production areas into the Warehouse for storage until despatchUnload as and when required all incoming vehicles and rack away the materials following acceptance and GRN generationPick and assemble loads ready for dispatch. Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading despatch paperworkWork in a safe manner at all times ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times and raise any health and safety concerns through the appropriate channelsEnsure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through completing starter documentation and reporting damage to FLTs and plant damage by following the appropriate procedureUndertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required.
