Job summary

Fowler Welch in Spalding is seeking Warehouse Operatives to support a chilled warehouse operation. You will load and unload goods, complete inbound and dispatch documentation, and keep stock moving in a fast-paced environment while complying with safety and HACCP regulations.

The role requires comfort working in a chilled environment around 3 degrees, and offers shifts including 4 on 3 off or 5 on 2 off with start times from 12:00 and shifts finishing at 22:00 or 00:00.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload product strictly in line with Company policies and procedures
• Complete correct documentation for all inbound and dispatch loads
• Report any trailer or MHE faults and place VOR vehicles in designated areas
• Remain vigilant to ensure goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions
• Ensure dispatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay
• Maintain standards to meet productivity targets
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy, SSOWs and HACCP regulations and challenge non-compliant colleagues
• Notify Stock Controller of customer returns

We have a fantastic opportunity for Warehouse Operatives to join our Spalding team, supporting our chilled warehouse operations in a fast-paced, modern environment. This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in keeping stock moving accurately, safely and efficiently while being part of a reliable and supportive team.

The role is based in a chilled warehouse environment, so you will need to be comfortable working in temperatures of around 3 degrees.

Shift Patterns: Flexible 4 on, 3 off and 5 on, 2 off rotas available, with start times from 12:00 and finish times of 22:00 or 00:00. We'll discuss your preferred shifts and working days at interview.

Salary:

• Between £12.94- £17.83 per hour depending on shift
• Opportunity to boost earning potential with Premium overtime rates

What you'll be doing:

• To ensure you load/unload product strictly in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
• To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and dispatch loads.
• Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with Company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
• To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
• To ensure dispatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
• Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the Company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOWs and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
• Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller

Qualifications
