Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Warehouse Operative to coordinate inbound and outbound materials, support production, and ensure timely operations. You will inspect inbound materials, raise NMIs when needed, and manage SAP records while assisting with picking, packing and storage tasks.

The role requires an organized, proactive individual with lean production experience and flexibility to work early, day or late shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence preferred; training offered for the right candidate.
• SAP and Microsoft packages experience desirable.
• Experience in a fast-paced lean production environment.
• Experience with material inspection and MRO inventory is advantageous.
• Well organised with attention to detail and strong communication.
• Resilient, able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Flexible approach to working hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound materials to ensure conformity to product standards.
• Raise Non-Conforming Material documentation when required.
• Ensure deliveries are received, unloaded and administered in SAP.
• Responsible for picking and kitting to support production plan.
• Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain on shortages and parts queries.
• Prepare and arrange outbound shipping activities such as returns.
• Organise Goods In/Out/Stores for inventory accuracy.
• Transport materials between manufacturing sites.
• Carry out other work-related duties as assigned.

Job description

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader , the Warehouse Operative will coordinate the efficient movement of inbound and outbound materials to support and ensure the continued and timely running of the production line. This newly created role will also include the inspection of inbound materials and supporting the management of the MRO inventory.

What You'll Do

• Inspection of inbound materials to ensure adherence to the agreed Product Standard s .
• Rais e Non-Conforming Material documentation on inbound materials as required .
• Ensu r e that all deliveries to site are received, unloaded, decanted and properly administered in SAP .
• Responsibility for the picking and kitting of ‘sets’ in a timely manner to enable the production plan.
• Liaise with P roduct ion and Supply Chain to ensure the continued running of the line, respond ing to any queries regarding shortages and replacement parts quickly and efficiently.
• Responsible for the preparation and arrangement of outbound shipping activities , such as returnable pack a ging.
• Organisation and management of the G oods I n , Goods O ut and S tores to ensure efficient material storage and handling and high levels of inventory accuracy.
• Transport Materials between alternative manufacturing sites.
• Miscellaneous duties, which are work-related, as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Current f ork lift license preferred although training offered to the appropriate candidate .
• Good w orking knowledge and experience of SA P & Microsoft packages desirable.
• Demonstratable experience of working within a fast paced, lean production environment.
• Previous e xperience of material inspection and MRO inventory management , advantageous
• Well organised, demonstrating a methodical approach and meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly motivated and c onfident with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resilient, able to work independently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Flexible approach to working hours (early, day or late) including evenings and weekends.
