Performance for our people, our business and our partners. It’s about more than winning. It’s about hitting the highest standards, and then raising the bar again.

Purpose of the Role

As a Warehouse Operations Team Leader you’ll have end‑to‑end accountability for coordinating and delivering the safe, accurate and efficient transfer, archiving and rationalisation of Commercial merchandise, Heritage stock, car parts, assemblies and equipment into the Brooklands facility. The role is hands‑on and operational, requiring significant physical stock handling alongside responsibility for planning, prioritisation, system accuracy and process establishment. You will directly manage the Stock Control & Warehouse Operative and act as the primary on‑site point of accountability for Brooklands readiness, ahead of transition into steady‑state operations. Accuracy, stakeholder management, and sound operational judgement are critical to success in this role.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead day‑to‑day operational moves of Commercial and Heritage stock while sequencing work effectively.
  • Coordinate inbound stock volumes with key stakeholders to ensure safe, controlled and efficient receipt and storage.
  • Personally carry out stock checks and confirmation of quantities for all items entering Brooklands, ensuring every item is logged, labelled and fully traceable within the checkroom systems.
  • Act as the single onsite point of accountability for move in delivery, progress, risks and issues during the move in phase.
  • Receive, unload, check, label and store stock with care and precision, ensuring all movements are fully traceable.
  • Support the development and embedding of SOPs and effective move‑in processes.
  • Optimise warehouse layout, location mapping and space utilisation.
  • Line‑manage and coach a Stock Control & Warehouse Operative during the move‑in phase.
  • Ensure all activity complies with health & safety legislation and company policies.
What You’ll Bring
  • Hands‑on experience in stock control, archiving and inventory accuracy.
  • Experience working with warehouse or inventory management systems, with a strong focus on data quality.
  • Confidence handling high‑value, sensitive or complex stock.
  • A strong understanding of health & safety in a warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of layout optimisation, process definition or continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting or guiding other team members is advantageous.
  • Experience with Checkroom, Salesforce, Javelin or similar systems is desirable.
  • Forklift licence or a willingness to be trained.
Personal Attributes
  • Safety focused, conscientious and reliable.
  • Hands on leader with a pragmatic, delivery focused mindset.
  • Organised, methodical with a high attention to detail.
  • Proactive and solution‑orientated, with a clear communication style.
  • Flexible and resilient to a fast‑paced changing environment.
  • Physically capable of manual handling in a warehouse setting.
