Job summary

DPD UK is seeking high-energy Warehouse Operatives in Preston to join a fast-paced, physically demanding team. You will load, unload, scan and sort parcels, operate warehouse tech, and help keep our operation running smoothly.

This permanent, part-time role offers 30 hours per week, Tue-Sat, 02:00-08:30, with training from Day 1, PPE provided, and benefits focused on wellbeing and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg and staying active throughout shift
• Using technology systems to route parcels to the right place on time
• Operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining health, safety and housekeeping standards
• Quality control checks and reporting discrepancies
• Collaborating with teammates to hit daily targets
• Attending to attendance expectations and reliability

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent – 30 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Tues-Sat
• Hours of Work: 02:00-08:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
