Job description

• Working hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Job type: Temporary to permanent

HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative who can support the logistic and distribution operations in our clients Warehouse based in Poole. Our clients are leading fabric designers and offer luxury wallpapers and accessories to customers all over the world.

The successful candidate must have experience with goods in processes and quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Pack and dispatch stock with appropriate paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Record information in written form and on the computer system
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies as required
• Supporting the Customs Warehouse function
• Receive deliveries of stock, check quantity, quality and content as directed, record receipt and ensure safe and secure storage
• Manual handling of stock, utilising two-man lifts and sack trucks where appropriate
• Adherence to the Company 'Health and Safety' procedures always
• Any other commensurate duties as assigned by the department management

Requirements:

• Must be computer literate including Microsoft packages
• Must understand health and safety guidelines within warehouse environments
• Happy to work under pressure and towards deadlines
• Good level of fitness to be able to undertake significant lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of stock up to 25kgs
• Experience of working with varied transporter computer systems, i.e. TNT, DHL, UPS etc is preferred
• Counterbalance / Reach Truck Licence preferred but not essential
