Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative in the United Kingdom to support safe reception, storage, and release of materials. You will manage stock, perform inventory checks, and coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires autonomy within a defined framework, solid technical judgment, and a commitment to safety. Offshore project experience and forklift licensing are valued assets in this position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.

• Experience using ERP/WMS systems.
• Valid Forklift and Stacker Licence.
• Experience or knowledge of dangerous goods storage.
• Electrical or mechanical education and/or relevant experience.
• Oracle / ERP knowledge and experience.
• Strong management and operational skills.
• Ability and willingness to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
• Ability and willingness to respond to emergency calls at weekends.
• Ability and willingness to work off-hours and weekends as required to support the business.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal guidance, and willing to learn from others.

Responsibilities

• Following all EHS guidelines, policies, and safe working practices.
• Receiving and unloading deliveries from suppliers.
• Checking goods for accuracy, quantity, and damage.
• Storing products in designated warehouse locations.
• Picking and packing orders accurately.
• Preparing orders for dispatch and shipment.
• Loading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Stowing stock into designated locations on vessels.
• Conducting stock counts and inventory checks.
• Maintaining accurate records using warehouse management systems.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe.
• Following 5S and Lean Principles.
• Supporting projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to support the safe and efficient reception, storage, inventory management, and release of materials. You will be fully proficient in warehousing and inventory activities and will contribute to projects and initiatives within the operation.

You will execute operational standards and processes within your defined area of responsibility, while understanding how your work integrates with other teams and contributes to the wider operation. The role requires autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework and the ability to solve problems using sound technical knowledge and judgement within established procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

Desirable Skills & Knowledge

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a parts warehouse or logistics environment, ideally with experience as a Warehouse Associate on an offshore project
• Ability to work effectively under physical and time pressure
• Team player with a decisive and practical approach
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Wind turbine generator experience is an advantage

Additional Information

Shift Pattern:

• 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off: from 6am to 6pm
