Job summary

A leading company in Milton Keynes is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a temporary to permanent role. The successful candidate will join the assembly team, supporting product assembly and despatch operations. Ideal candidates should have assembly experience and a valid forklift licence, and be an effective team player ready to take on diverse tasks.

Temporary to Permanent role (£12.50 per hour plus Holiday pay)

40 hour week - 8am -4.30pm, Monday -Friday

The Successful candidate will ideally have assembly experience and forklift licence. You will be part of a busy team, the role requires strong dexterity to assemble a range of company products, using both hand and power tools to install components.

The role:

Working within the assembly team you will build and assemble the company’s products to the required standing. In addition to includes picking, preparing, processing, and despatching sales orders through production, meeting daily deadlines.

This is a varied and interesting role for somebody with plenty of common sense as well as a good positive attitude.

Key tasks:

• Assembly of products in accordance with manufacturing instructions.
• Picking and packing of products ready for despatch.
• Operating a counter-balance forklift truck.
• Maintaining general cleanliness, and tidiness of the production area.
• Reporting any apparent component shortages to the supervisor.
• Undertaking appropriate training from time to time.
• Any other tasks reasonably requested by management.

Personal Specification:

• Previous experience of working in a production and/or warehouse environment and previous Assembly experience ideally
• Curent valid Forklift Licence is also ideal
• An effective team player who is able and willing to work with and alongside others undertaking similar roles.
• Willingness to undertake training as appropriate to the demands of the role.
• Able to work well under pressure and under own initiative, with a flexible approach to workload.
• Be comfortable with IT functions as appropriate to the role(s) for which training has been given.
• Able to operate within an ISO 9001 environment but ready with concepts and ideas to continuously improve the operation.
