Job summary

A&O IT Group in Maidenhead is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to support day-to-day administration, picking, packing and stock control under the Warehouse Manager.

You will handle receipt, storage and documentation, ensure location accuracy, and collaborate with multiple teams while maintaining Health & Safety standards. This role will suit a proactive, detail-focused individual committed to safe, efficient warehouse operations.

• Forklift experience and certification are required.

Responsibilities

• The safe receipt, storage, retrieval, tracking and timely dispatch of goods.
• Accurate completion of documentation for all stock movements (digital and paper).
• Ensure location details are accurate and updated regularly for stock accuracy and annual stocktakes.
• Collaborate with service desk, engineering, facilities, transport and management.
• Ensure health and safety, hygiene and fire safety compliance per legislation.
• Secure buildings and stock; report damages to stakeholders.
• Manage picking, packing and distribution activities.
• Comply with warehousing and shipping regulations.
• Escalate issues to management as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe workplaces with proper access and welfare facilities.

Job description

Hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm

Works under the day-to-day control of the Warehouse Manager to assist in the day to day administration, picking, packing, and other warehouse tasks that may be required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The safe receipt, storage, retrieval, tracking and timely dispatch of goods.

• Accurate completion of documentation both digital and hard copy for all stock movements. Incoming and outgoing.

• Ensure location details are accurate and updated regularly to ensure stock accuracy and to assist with annual wall to wall stocktaking requirements.

• Close working with all teams, including the service desk, engineering team, facilities, transport, and management.

• Meeting all Health and Safety, hygiene requirements, Fire safety etc. complying with current legislation.

• The security of the buildings and stock. Ensure all damages are correctly recorded and notified to relevant stakeholders.

• Manage and engage in the picking, packing and distribution activity.

• Compliance with all warehousing and shipping legislative requirements.

• Report and escalation to management as needed any issues.

• To help maintain workplaces through regular cleaning routines, to ensure that they are safe and without health risks, including means of access and egress, with adequate facilities and arrangements for colleague welfare.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to start at 6:00am each day

• Warehouse experience

• Forklift experience and certified

• Computer Literate, IT Skills

• Able to lift and move boxes of up to 20Kg

• Work on their own initiative and as part of a team

• Having knowledge about safety and health regulations

• Being able to complete paperwork

• Experienced in the use of excel and word

• Self-Motivated and disciplined

• Excellent communication skills in English
