Job summary

Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, in Leeds (LS11 0LR), is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the Goods In team. You will ensure incoming stock is received accurately, checked thoroughly, and moved to the correct warehouse locations.

The role requires a high level of attention to detail, reliable teamwork, and good verbal/written communication. Expect 37.5 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday 12:00pm–8:00pm shift and a £13.53 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Essential forklift experience and accuracy in stock handling.
• Good verbal and written communication; basic numeracy and literacy.
• Proficiency with computer systems and stock records.

Responsibilities

• Operate a VNA Forklift Truck safely.
• Receive, check and process incoming stock deliveries.
• Verify product descriptions, pack sizes, quantities, expiry dates and product condition.
• Record stock information accurately and complete paperwork.
• Prioritise critical and out-of-stock items on receipt.
• Maintain housekeeping in warehouse and loading bay areas.
• Adhere to health & safety and security procedures.
• Support the wider warehouse operation as required.

• Location: LS11 0LR
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 8:00pm

About the Role

• Record stock information accurately and complete all relevant paperwork.
• Prioritise critical and out-of-stock items on receipt.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across warehouse and loading bay areas.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety and security procedures.
• Support the wider warehouse operation as required.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Previous Forklift Truck experience.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong awareness of customer service and quality standards.

Desirable:

• Previous warehouse experience.

Important Information

This role involves regular manual handling activities, including lifting, carrying and bending, which are essential requirements of the position.
