Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join a busy Warehouse & Logistics team at Hartlebury Trading Estate. You will support day-to-day operations, ensuring stock is handled efficiently and service levels are maintained.

The role involves picking, goods receival, loading/unloading with a Counterbalance FLT, stock control, and using warehouse systems and tablets. Full training provided, with stable Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Essential: strong communication, IT and numerical skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Desirable: forklift licence and prior warehouse/stock control experience.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing orders for dispatch accurately and on time.
• Receiving deliveries and unloading stock safely.
• Loading and moving stock using a Counterbalance FLT.
• Stock rotation and inventory control.
• Handling returns efficiently and maintaining a clean warehouse.
• Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Warehouse Operative

Location: Hartlebury Trading Estate

Salary: £12.81p/h

Hours: 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy Warehouse & Logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and hardworking individual to support the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring stock is handled efficiently and service levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing orders for dispatch accurately and on time.
• Receiving deliveries and unloading stock safely.
• Loading and moving stock using a Counterbalance FLT.
• Ensuring stock is stored correctly and rotated where required.
• Managing returns accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Carrying out stock control and inventory-related tasks.
• Using warehouse systems, Microsoft applications and tablets when required.
• Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Good numerical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Honest, reliable and hardworking approach.

Desirable:

• Previous warehouse and stock control experience.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, 14001 or 18001.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence desirable.
