Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Depot: LWC Hereford

Main Duties

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse & Distribution Manager, and Depot Manager, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the warehouse, maintaining the warehouse environment, organizing bin bay locations, and ensuring the correct storage of all products. The role involves physical tasks and manual handling.

Key Skills

• Adhering to good practices within the warehouse
• Accurately picking orders and placing items in the correct locations for delivery
• Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors of shortages
• Promptly storing new stock in the correct bin bays, matching delivery notes
• Assisting with monthly stock takes and weekly stock audits
• Completing relevant documentation for stock write-offs and equipment records
• Following health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE
• Prioritizing workloads effectively
• Maintaining flexibility in work approach
• Assisting drivers as needed

Knowledge and Experience

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good product knowledge
• Flexi FLT licence is advantageous

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday, with start times between 08:00 – 08:30 and finish times between 17:00 – 17:30. Weekly hours: 40.

Compensation

£12.87 per hour, paid weekly. Opportunity to earn up to £2,000 annually through our performance-based bonus scheme.
