Job summary

Proactive Global in Sudbury, Suffolk is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support Goods In and Goods Out activities, operate a Counterbalance Forklift, and perform stock movement in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will work as part of a team to meet daily targets, maintain accurate stock records, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, Goods In or Goods Out environment.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential).
• Confident operating a Counterbalance Forklift from day one.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisation.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.

• Receive, check and book in incoming goods.

Join a busy and well-established manufacturer as a Warehouse Operative, supporting the Goods In and Goods Out function. This is a hands-on role involving the safe operation of a Counterbalance Forklift, stock movement, loading and unloading deliveries, and general warehouse duties within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Duties

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Receiving, checking and booking in incoming goods.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Moving stock safely throughout the warehouse.
• Assisting with Goods In and Goods Out activities.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.

Skills

• Previous experience within a warehouse, Goods In or Goods Out environment.
• Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential).
• Confident operating a Counterbalance Forklift from day one.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
