Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise is recruiting a Warehouse and FLT Operative for Barton, near Burton upon Trent. You will safely operate Bendi/Flexi forklifts, manage stock, and support a rail maintenance environment during a growth phase.

You will join a team that values reliability, attention to detail, and a practical, can-do attitude, with 37-hour weeks, Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm (1pm finish on Fridays), and a 6-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bendi/Flexi forklift truck experience required.
• VNA experience ideal but not essential.
• Proven warehouse experience.
• Reliable, punctual, with strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude with attention to detail and teamwork.
• Flexible to rotate shifts.
• Able to pass rail medical and drugs & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Bendi/Flexi forklift.
• VNA operation in tight spaces where required.
• Cycle count inventory and update internal system.
• Receive deliveries using forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Check materials for damages and ensure safe loading/unloading.

Warehouse and FLT Operative

Location: Barton – Burton upon Trent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with a 1pm finish on a Friday. 37 hours a week.

Contract: 6 month contract

Pay: £14.54 PAYE hourly rate

Role and Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Warehouse Operative with FLT experience to join a forward thinking rail maintenance organisation during a pivotal period of growth and transformation. You’ll play a key role in supporting a well organised, efficient, and safety focused warehouse environment.

In this hands on role, you’ll take responsibility for ensuring stock is accurately stored and managed, identifying and reporting any health and safety concerns, and confidently operating forklifts to keep materials moving smoothly across the warehouse and stores. Your contribution will directly support the success of a company that is investing in its future and building strong foundations for long term progress.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on a challenge — someone with the right attitude, resilience, and willingness to dive straight in.

• Operating a Bendi/Flexi Truck
• VNA (very narrow aisle) Operate in an extremely tight spaces
• Cycle counting of inventory and updating the internal system
• Taking delivery of goods inwards using forklift trucks, and/or other lifting equipment where required – ensuring the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of materials across the site

Essential Skills & Experience
