Job summary

Randstad Delivery in Burgess Hill is hiring a Warehouse Operative for an initial 3-month contract. You will join a healthcare supply chain, handling picking, packing and dispatch of medical supplies.

Two shifts are available: AM 07:30–15:30 and PM 13:00–21:00, with 7.5-hour days and unpaid lunch breaks. Competitive PAYE rates apply, with on-site parking and a supportive team environment.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative (AM & PM Shifts Available)

Location: Burgess Hill (On-site)

Position Type: 3-Month Contract

Work Pattern: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 37.5 Hours per Week

Pay Rates (PAYE):

• AM Shift: £15.47/hr + Holiday Pay
• PM Shift: £17.01/hr + Holiday Pay

About the Role

We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialists to join an industry-leading healthcare supply chain provider based in Burgess Hill. Supporting critical services across the NHS and private healthcare sectors, this role requires a patient-focused mindset and a strong sense of urgency in every task.

We currently have 6 vacancies available across two shift patterns:

• AM Shift (3 Positions): 07:30 - 15:30 (Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• PM Shift (3 Positions): 13:00 - 21:00 (Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare medical supplies and healthcare products for dispatch.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during stock movements to ensure zero errors.
• Perform routine inventory checks and update basic IT systems/warehouse databases.
• Operate efficiently under tight timeframes to support urgent healthcare delivery schedules.
• Collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to maintain a smooth, safe warehouse workflow.

Candidate Requirements

• Location & Transport: Must have a reliable, independent method of transport to Burgess Hill (the site is poorly served by local public transport).
• Physical Fitness: Good physical stamina and fitness, comfortable with active warehouse tasks, standing, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout a 7.5-hour shift.
• Accuracy & Attention to Detail: High standard of precision in stock handling and picking.
• Basic IT Skills: Comfortable using basic computer software or handheld scanners for logging stock.
• Work Ethic: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working well both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Notice Period: Candidates must be comfortable with a 1-week notice period on a 3-month contract.
