Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. is hiring a Warehouse Operative to join our team at the Western Approach site in the UK. You will operate Aisle Master and possibly Bendi forklifts, load/unload vehicles, and use our WMS to manage stock with care and accuracy.

The role involves stock replenishment, pallet work, and order preparation in a temperature-controlled environment. We offer training, a strong benefits package, and opportunities for career growth within our expanding business.

Responsibilities

• Operate an Aisle Master forklift and optional Bendi/articulated forklift.
• Load and unload vehicles safely, including manual handling of goods.
• Use warehouse management systems and scanners to receieve, locate, replenish and dispatch stock.
• Replenish and consolidate stock; assemble cages and store goods safely.
• Assist with pallet breakdown, wrapping, labelling and general order preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment; report defects promptly.
• Complete paperwork and warehouse documentation accurately.

Job Description: Are you passionate about Warehouse and Logistics and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics company? We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Western Approach site.

• Operate an Aisle Master forklift truck and, where required, a Bendi/articulated forklift to support warehouse operations (full training provided).
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently, including the manual handling of caged goods and occasional palletised stock, in line with company procedures and health and safety standards.
• Use warehouse management systems and scanners to receive, locate, replenish and dispatch stock accurately, ensuring customer orders are picked, sorted and prepared to a high standard.
• Replenish and consolidate stock as required, assembling cages and ensuring goods are stored safely within racking locations.
• Assist with warehouse duties including pallet breakdown, pallet wrapping, labelling and general order preparation.
• Work accurately within a temperature-controlled/chilled warehouse environment, maintaining high levels of care and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised working environment, ensuring all warehouse equipment is used responsibly and kept in good working order.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and warehouse documentation accurately, reporting any defects, damages or operational issues promptly to support continuous improvement.
• A current Counterbalance and Reach forklift licence is desirable, but not essential.
• Good communication and team working skills.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work within a fast paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Hours: 07:30hrs - 19:30hrs, working on a 4on 4off rota basis.

Competitive Salary: £28,488 per annum.
