Job summary

Winner Recruitment is hiring a Day shift Warehouse Operative in Basingstoke. You will support the training of couriers, ensuring they can effectively complete deliveries and assisting with the app usage required for their roles.

This position offers a Temp to Perm opportunity after 12 weeks, with a competitive pay rate starting at £13.81 per hour. You must be available to work at least 30 hours per week in a friendly environment that provides full training and remote registrations.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of new couriers and allocate work efficiently.

• Ensure compliance in parcel preparation for collection.
• Timely escalation of risks in Service Tracker.
• Resolve local issues before escalating to the Territory Manager.
• Provide couriers with necessary support for their roles.
• Engage with couriers and service providers professionally.

Job description

As a Day shift Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible mainly for training of couriers so they are able to effectively complete deliveries of parcels on set routes, by assisting with the training on the app that they require to use. With this, IT skills are essential. There are many other duties that will be involved in this so it is not limited to.

This is a great Temp to Perm opportunity after a successful 12 weeks of service, with competitive rates of pay starting at £13.81 per hour.

This role is only suitable for full time workers that are able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

The operation is open 7 days a week, and we can accommodate any 5 days out of 7.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the onboarding process of new couriers and ensuring the most efficient allocation of work
• Actively monitor parcel scanning and courier readiness
• Ensure correct processes are followed so parcels are ready for collection and taken away by couriers compliantly
• Raise escalations timely and transparently in Service Tracker when risks are identified so proactive resolutions can be made
• Support planning when known resource gaps may be coming up in the future
• Attempt to resolve local issues (late couriers, missing parcels, scanning delays) before escalation to the Territory Manager
• Support Couriers with manifests, routing queries and exceptions so they are educated to know the variables in their role
• Provide local feedback to Territory Managers for full transparency on the operation of that day
• Engage effectively, professionally, and with support to the couriers or service providers on site
