Job description

We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to work within the Distribution Centre. The team is dynamic, energetic, and hardworking, which is vital within the fast-paced environment we operate in. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

1. Accurate picking and packing of goods in preparation for distribution to customers.
2. Safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
3. Checking delivered items against paperwork to ensure correct goods have been delivered.
4. Booking in items while ensuring KPIs are met.
5. Locating items safely in the Distribution Centre in the designated locations.
6. Rework activities.
7. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
8. Ensuring best practices to prioritize staff safety.
9. Keeping outside areas (loading/unloading/skips) clean and tidy at all times.
10. Maintaining housekeeping standards.

Skills And Experience

1. Must be physically fit due to the nature of the work.
2. Relevant experience in a similar environment.
3. Forklift license is an advantage but not essential.
4. Flexibility regarding shift patterns.
5. Analytical thinking and a logical approach to problem-solving.

Health and Safety

The jobholder must familiarize themselves with the company's health and safety requirements, applicable risk assessments, and safe working practices. If any hazards are encountered, it is the individual's responsibility to notify their manager, supervisor, or health and safety representative. The jobholder is responsible for their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available upon request, and it is the duty of the jobholder to wear PPE as designated by the company.
