Placements24 is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the East London facility, overseeing receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping. You will drive operational excellence, coach a team of warehouse staff, and ensure compliance with safety policies and company procedures.

You will implement process improvements, manage budgets and build strong relationships with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure smooth, cost-effective performance across the supply chain.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to manage their warehouse facility in East London. This role is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping of goods. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement operational improvements, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence and safety. This is a crucial position for ensuring the smooth functioning of the company's supply chain and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put‑away, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance inventory accuracy.
• Ensure a safe working environment, implementing and enforcing all safety regulations and procedures.
• Manage warehouse staff, providing training, setting performance standards, and fostering a productive team culture.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts to ensure data integrity.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient flow of goods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Warehouse Operations Management.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and control operational costs within a warehouse environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
