Embed Talent in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our warehouse operations and lead a hands-on team. You will set clear priorities, drive improvements, and ensure safe, efficient stock handling.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, Sales and Customer Service to maintain stock availability and on-time delivery, shaping processes and mentoring your team for measurable performance gains.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Warehouse Manager or senior warehouse leader.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and develop teams.
• Strong understanding of goods-in, storage, stock control, picking, dispatch and health & safety.
• Track record of improving warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to set expectations and address performance issues.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.
• Practical, hands-on management style willing to get involved.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day-to-day warehouse operation.
• Lead, manage and develop the warehouse team with clear expectations.
• Set daily and longer-term priorities for the department.
• Ensure goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Maintain stock control, rotation and warehouse organisation.
• Ensure health & safety standards are followed.
• Monitor warehouse performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Plan labour and resources around workloads and seasonal peaks.
• Work with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service and Management to maintain stock availability.
• Manage warehouse procedures, documentation and compliance.
• Support recruitment, training and development of staff.
• Create an organised working environment with high standards.
