Job summary

John Lewis Partnership's Herbert Parkinson site in Darwen is hiring a Warehouse/Logistics operative reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager. You will support receipt, storage, picking and despatch of materials, helping to meet customer demand and key branch KPIs.

This is a permanent role, 38.75 hours per week, 08:00–16:00. Responsibilities include housekeeping, stock control, inventory checks, safe operation of warehouse vehicles, and collaboration with transport partners to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Experience in a Warehouse/Stock control role.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote health & safety and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Accurately book in and store incoming deliveries and report discrepancies.
• Accurately pick materials to feed manufacturing lines and record inventory movements.
