Job summary

Herbert Parkinson, part of the John Lewis Partnership, is transforming its manufacturing and warehouse operations to improve efficiency and service. Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, you will support safe, efficient receipt, storage, picking and despatch of materials while driving KPIs across the branch.

You will lead a team of Partners, ensure health and safety, and optimise the labour plan to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

Demonstrable experience in a Warehouse, Stock control role.
Strong capacity to prioritise, multitask, and manage competing deadlines.
Flexible, adaptable and able to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Support warehouse and logistics operations to ensure safe receipt, storage, picking, and despatch of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
Ensure the timely and accurate booking in and safe put away of all incoming deliveries through our in-house systems.
Ensure the timely and accurate picking of materials to feed manufacturing lines, confirming all inventory movements in the system.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure physical stocks are reflected in systems.
Operate all Warehouse vehicles and equipment safely with PPE and SOPs.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure customer orders are accurately located and despatched to meet requirements.
Liaise with Planning & Logistics Manager to optimise the Warehouse labour plan to meet customer demands.
