Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Derby is seeking a Warehouse Controller to lead a busy warehouse operation, supervise a team of operatives and drivers, and ensure safe, efficient, on-time delivery for a key client.

You will plan shifts, monitor KPI performance, maintain strong client relations, and ensure adherence to CEVA policies and safety standards. The role is Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00, with a salary up to £32,026 per year and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Experience using SAP or WMS systems is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to motivate others.
• Desirable: MHE Counterbalance licence and knowledge of stock control/LEAN.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of warehouse operatives and drivers, managing workloads and attendance.
• Plan shifts and allocate resources to meet customer requirements and service levels.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure the operation meets expectations.
• Monitor performance via KPIs/SLAs and drive improvements.
• Prioritise safety and ensure compliance with CEVA policies and customer rules.
• Coordinate materials flow and ensure accurate SAP transactions and administration.
