Slice Solutions LTD. in Barnsley is seeking a capable Warehouse Manager / Delivery Driver to run the warehouse and handle local deliveries. You will ensure accurate stock levels, timely order processing, and professional customer interactions.

The role splits time between the warehouse and the road, reporting to the Directors, with responsibilities for safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Formación

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics role.
• Strong organisation and time management with attention to detail.
• Able to lift and move building materials safely.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

Warehouse Manager / Delivery Driver

Barnsley

Full-time, permanent | Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 DOE | Hours, Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm

Run the warehouse and get our customers’ orders out on the road

Our client is a growing supplier of roofing and building materials to customers across the UK. As they expand, they are looking for a reliable, organised, and hands-on Warehouse Manager / Delivery Driver to join the team.

You’ll split your time between the warehouse and the road. You’ll keep stock levels accurate and the warehouse running smoothly, and you’ll be the friendly face customers see when their delivery arrives. You’ll report directly to the Directors, so you’ll have real ownership of how the warehouse runs.

What you’ll be doing

In the warehouse

• Receiving, checking, and safely storing incoming stock
• Keeping stock levels accurate through regular stock checks, and flagging when items need reordering
• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders accurately and on time
• Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, organised, and compliant with health and safety procedures
• Handling customer collections and goods-in/goods-out
• Suggesting and making improvements to how the warehouse runs

On the road

• Making local deliveries to customers and building sites
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and securely
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Getting delivery signatures and keeping delivery records accurate
• Representing the business professionally with every customer you meet

You’ll also help the sales and admin team when it’s busy.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics role
• Good organisation and time management, with a strong eye for detail
• Able to lift and move building materials safely
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team

Nice to have

• Experience in roofing or building products
• FLT (forklift) licence
• Knowledge of stock control systems
• Experience managing warehouse operations
