Job summary

Bis Henderson in Yeovil is launching a brand-new warehouse operation and is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the site, drive a next-day delivery culture and build scalable processes from the ground up.

You will lead a hands-on team, establish SOPs, KPIs and performance standards, partner with senior leadership, and shape the operation for significant growth while maintaining high safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a busy warehouse or distribution operation.
• Experience within a fast-paced, next-day delivery or e-commerce environment.
• Strong track record of delivering continuous improvement.
• Experience setting up, developing or transforming warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Hands-on approach with strategic thinking.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ambition to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of the new warehouse site.
• Lead and develop the warehouse team, creating a strong performance culture.
• Establish processes, SOPs, KPIs and operational standards from the ground up.
• Ensure consistently high performance within a next-day delivery environment.
• Drive continuous improvement across productivity, accuracy, quality and cost.
• Manage labour planning, resource utilisation and operational capacity.
• Develop the operation to support significant future growth.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align with wider business objectives.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance and housekeeping.
• Be highly visible and hands-on within the operation, leading from the front.
