An established industry player is searching for a proactive Warehouse/General Manager to lead their growing team in Maidstone. This is a unique opportunity to drive operational excellence in a family-run business that has seen remarkable growth. The role demands a hands-on leader who can inspire a team of 30 warehouse staff and enhance efficiency across all operations. With a competitive salary and the chance to make a significant impact, this position is perfect for someone eager to contribute to the next phase of growth for a dynamic company. If you are results-oriented and ready to take on a challenge, this could be the perfect fit for you.
We are seeking a Warehouse/General Manager for a UK-based, family-run enterprise that has grown from a modest startup into a leading manufacturer and distributor of chemical products.
Despite the seemingly routine subject matter, the company has experienced exponential growth over the past six years by leveraging digital expertise to serve both D2C and B2B markets.
Their products are blended, bottled, and dispatched directly from their manufacturing and distribution facility, ensuring quality control and efficiency. Candidates should have experience managing a similar warehouse environment, though not necessarily within the chemical industry.
The current team comprises 30 warehouse staff. As the new manager, you will lead efforts to improve all operational areas, working closely with an empowering Head of Operations who trusts your judgment.
This is a significant opportunity to enhance and optimize operations, contributing to the company's next phase of growth. The role requires a hands-on leader who is proactive and results-oriented, rather than merely overseeing from a distance.
The role is based just outside Maidstone in Kent. You will be on-site five days a week, with operational hours from Monday to Saturday. Working on Saturdays (8 am - 1 pm) qualifies for overtime pay.
The salary ranges from £50,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We welcome applicants with a broad range of experience levels. Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
If interested or seeking more details, please contact me via message, DM (Will Grashoff on LinkedIn), or phone. An up-to-date CV is preferred, but we are happy to discuss the role beforehand if you do not have one ready.
All applicants will receive a response. We value diversity and use technology to eliminate gender bias in our recruitment process. We look forward to hearing from suitable candidates.
