Job description

Menzies Distribution Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Manager to manage and support effective operational processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer and supplier stock and data input at our Wakefield Depot. The role involves ensuring compliance with all operational processes and regulations, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective change management.

This position requires maintaining high standards of health and safety and ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.

The Details
  • Salary: £50k Per Annum
  • Location: Normanton, WF6 2UA
  • Shift: Monday-Friday
  • Holiday Allowance: 33 Days inclusive of 8 Bank holidays
  • Monthly Pay
  • Parking Onsite
Key Accountabilities (Will Include But Not Be Limited To)
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport teams; planning, coordinating, and monitoring receipt, order assembly, and dispatch of goods
  • Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, ensuring quality and budget targets are met
  • Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems where necessary
  • Maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with all aspects of the company’s H&S policy
  • Ensuring environmental control measures are in place and effective
  • Managing and controlling operational costs effectively
  • Supporting and developing the operational team through continuous improvement and proactive communication
  • Establishing and maintaining a team-focused working environment
  • Upholding high standards of H&S, ensuring all inductions and training are completed and logged
  • Maintaining application of business ‘key standards’
  • Monitoring and maintaining performance levels for all warehouse activities
  • Developing effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Reviewing and developing working practices in line with operational procedures
  • Planning and managing daily operations and special projects through continuous improvement
  • Communicating effectively via reports and KPI data
  • Ensuring delivery and implementation of client operational requirements
  • Facilitating regular operational meetings with staff to communicate objectives and performance
  • Working to KPIs and objectives aligned with clients, considering any special projects or initiatives

  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
