Job summary

Lords Builders Merchants Beaconsfield is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead a busy yard and a small team. You will oversee stock rotation, safety checks and local deliveries, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service for customers.

The role requires experience in warehouse leadership within a builders’ merchant environment, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work well with colleagues and customers. This is a full-time, on-site position in Beaconsfield.

Qualifications

• Experience in a builders’ merchant environment is essential.
• Experience in leading a team and warehouse management.
• Positive, can-do attitude with strong customer service focus.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual handling.
• Able to lead a team and work independently or with others.
• Good attention to detail and awareness of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage Fork Lift Truck Drivers, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy and well organised with stock rotation and presentation standards.
• Ensure daily checks and report defects on plant and machinery.
• Report health & safety concerns promptly.
• Organise local deliveries in a 3.5t vehicle when required.
• Support the wider branch team with day-to-day operations and liaising with the Branch Manager.

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our team at Lords Builders Merchants Beaconsfield. This is a varied role that plays a key part in the smooth running of our operation and supporting both our customers and colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing the Fork Lift Truck Drivers, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised, with strong stock rotation and presentation standards.
• Ensuring daily checks and reporting defects on plant and machinery are carried out.
• Reporting any health & safety concerns promptly.
• Organising local deliveries in a 3.5t vehicle when required.
• Supporting the wider branch team with day‑to‑day operations, liaising with the Branch Manager and other senior members.
