Job summary

Lords Builders Merchants Beaconsfield is seeking a pragmatic Warehouse Manager to lead our busy yard and team, ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate stock, and timely deliveries. You will oversee forklift drivers, maintain safety standards, and coordinate local deliveries, working closely with the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a builders’ merchant environment (preferred).
• Experience in leading a team and warehouse management.
• Able to lead a team and drive success.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage Fork Lift Truck Drivers and ensure efficiency.
• Keep yard clean, tidy, and well organised with stock rotation.
• Carry out daily checks and report defects on plant and machinery.
• Promptly report health and safety concerns.
• Organise local deliveries in a 3.5t vehicle when required.
• Support branch team with day-to-day operations and liaise with Branch Manager.

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our team at Lords Builders Merchants Beaconsfield. This is a varied role that plays a key part in the smooth running of our operation and supporting both our customers and colleagues.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the Fork Lift Truck Drivers, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised, with strong stock rotation and presentation standards.
• Ensuring daily checks and reporting defects on plant and machinery are carried out.
• Reporting any health & safety concerns promptly.
• Organising local deliveries in a 3.5t vehicle when required.
• Supporting the wider branch team with day‑to‑day operations, liaising with the Branch Manager and other senior members.

What we’re looking for

• Experience working in a builders’ merchant environment (preferred).
• Experience in leading a team and warehouse management.
• A positive, can‑do attitude and a strong focus on customer service.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Able to lead a team, driving success.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and awareness of safety procedures.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
