Job summary

Lidl GB is seeking a Warehouse Operative (Recycling) in Peterborough. You will help keep our warehouses running, processing recyclables quickly and efficiently, from card and plastic to food waste.

This fast-paced role suits you if you're energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented. You will work with colleagues and contractors, update the Warehouse Management System with pallet counts, move pallets using machinery, and support driver debriefs while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Willingness to work with all types of stock, indoors, outdoors, or in chilled areas.
• Ability to work independently, taking responsibility for tasks.
• Good attention to detail, even when working quickly.
• Can-do attitude and pride in doing a great job.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles into the recycling area.
• Process card, plastic, and food waste efficiently.
• Work with contractors and colleagues to keep collections on track.
• Update Warehouse Management System (WMS) with pallet counts and report issues.
• Use machinery safely to move pallets and complete tasks.
• Support driver debriefs and check outbound lanes for correct pallet placement.
• Maintain high standards with a clean-as-you-go approach.
