Role Purpose:

The purpose of the role is toassistthewarehouse Team Leaders andManagersto ensure the smooth runningof all warehouse duties, loading orunloadingoftrailers, full pallet and casepicking, receivingstock,cleaningand cycle counts.Working both alone and as part of a team, this role is a combination of using mechanical handling equipment and manual handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibilityfor location of stock receipts into the warehouse after ensuring that the paperworkand goods are correct, raising anydiscrepanciesto the Team LeadersandManagers.
• Responsibilityfor picking goods from stock as and whenrequiredas directed by theTeam LeadersorManagers.
• Operation of mechanical handling equipment (Counterbalance, Pivot,Reach and Pedestrian pallet trucks) to move palletsaround the warehousein order tomeet business needs.
• Inspection of the trailerprior to loading goods,to ensure that the vehicle adheres to cleanliness and hygiene standards to transport goods and to sign load sheet to confirm vehicle and goods have been checked.
• To ensure that goods are loaded and unloaded as directed by the Team LeaderorManagerensuring that goods are correct and not damaged.
• To perform stock movements asrequiredin accordance withthe Company’s procedures.
• To ensure thathigh standardsof housekeeping aremaintainedthroughout the Warehouse and damaged products are brought to the attention of theTeam Leader orManager.
• Full adherence to health and safety policy and proceduresat all times,reporting any broken,defectiveor faulty equipment to a manager to ensure the safety of all staff.
• Any other such taskdeemedreasonable by the line manager andcommensuratewith the post.

Class1 Drivers/ Shunters(applies only to trained persons)

• Adherenceto allUKroad traffic lawsand regulations, toensure safe and compliant driving at all times.
• Completing vehicle inspection and Defect book at the beginning of each driving shift and report any issues to the correct persons.
• Movingloaded and unloadedtrailersas necessary to meet business demands
