Role: Warehouse General Manager - 3PL Contract Logistics (Multi-User)

Salary & Benefits: £75,000 - £85,000 + Car / Allowance & Package.

Company: Loom Talent Limited has been exclusively retained by an established European 3PL Contract Logistics provider focused on delivering excellent service and innovative warehousing solutions across the UK. Their portfolio includes clients in Retail, E-Commerce, Fashion, and FMCG.

Role Overview: The Warehouse General Manager will lead all activities at a key UK distribution centre in Milton Keynes, a multi-user site of over 250,000 sq. ft. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to join a rapidly expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Report to the Sector Business Unit Director.
2. Provide strategic leadership for warehousing, distribution, continuous improvement, and projects.
3. Manage and develop a high-performing team of up to 200+ employees.
4. Maintain and grow strong client relationships.
5. Manage a site budget exceeding £20m, ensuring financial and service objectives are met.
6. Develop and refine KPIs and standardize site operations.
7. Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
8. Evaluate and improve operational processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
9. Support innovation and adoption of new technologies like automation and robotics.
10. Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and third-party providers.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Experience in Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain management.
2. At least 5 years in senior management roles such as General Manager or Operations Director.
3. Proven experience in 3PL multi-user environments.
4. Budget management experience for large distribution centres (£15m+).
5. Knowledge of semi-automation and robotics (advantageous).
6. Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development.
7. Understanding of the UK logistics market.
8. Ability to handle large-scale growth challenges.
9. Willingness to commute to Milton Keynes five days a week.
